Turning the key to unlock the front door, it squeaks as I push it open and let myself in; Rose and Foofur do not greet me so I start yelling, “Hello!” but no one comes running so I call out again, “Hello?”. I begin to hear a thump, thump, thump; did Rose lock herself in the laundry room and that is her tail hitting the washer or dryer? I listen a couple more seconds to know she is not down there; where is she and why is she not running to the stairs and either coming up one set or coming down the other? “Rose?”, “Rose, where are you?” Thump, thump, thump. What is her tail hitting, where is she? Taking two steps up the stairs I hear her tail hitting more excitingly.
As I approach the top stair I hear she is in the bathtub, in the dark, with the door against the tub. As I get to her I continue talking to her and now petting her, realizing she is shaking uncontrollably. Why did hide in the bathtub, and the bathtub in the bathroom that has no windows? Why was she shaking? Poor girl; I will probably never know what happened to make her hide in there.
A ride in the car and a trip to the park seemed to calm her mind and brighten her spirits. What is she going to do when I get a job and have to leave her home for many hours? I will just have to take her with me to work and everywhere else I go!

Poor Rose. I suspect she misses Jack, huh? It’ll be a hard transition when you go back to work because before she had a buddy. I don’t suppose she considers Foofur to be very entertaining…
She does miss Jack & no, Foofur is not so entertaining for her, at least not to protect her
